When I wrote that "everything is pretty much the same with Annika," I think I had forgotten just what, exactly, that meant. Which is to say that tonight is another GI bleed. I almost can't believe that we're just staying home and riding it out, like it was just a case of the sniffles or something. Weird. Just, weird.
And what does it say about Annika that she's campaigning hard to go to the E.R, even though she knows that means an automatic I.V.?
And what does it say about us parents that we briefly considered the possibility of an early onset menstrual cycle (caused, perhaps, by all those steroids she's had to take over the years) when the first telltale blood clots showed up in the bowl earlier this evening?
